Why Choose Vintage Cut Moissanite?

Vintage cut moissanite offers a distinctive alternative to modern brilliant cuts by emphasizing character, depth, and antique-inspired faceting rather than perfectly uniform sparkle. Inspired by historic diamond cuts from different eras, these stones are admired for their softer brilliance, larger facets, romantic glow, and timeless old world appearance.

At Bellisa Jewellery, our vintage cut moissanite stones are custom cut to order and carefully crafted to highlight the unique beauty of antique-inspired faceting styles. From Old Mine Cut and Old European Cut moissanite to Moval, Hexagon, Rose Cut, and Stepped Cut designs, every stone is thoughtfully created with exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Many couples and jewellery collectors choose vintage cut moissanite because it offers individuality, artistry, and a more distinctive appearance compared to standard modern cuts. Whether you’re designing a vintage-inspired engagement ring, alternative bridal set, or bespoke jewellery piece, Bellisa’s custom cut moissanite stones are created to feel meaningful, timeless, and truly one-of-a-kind.

Vintage Cut Moissanite FAQs

What is vintage cut moissanite?

Vintage cut moissanite refers to moissanite stones cut in antique-inspired faceting styles based on historic diamond cuts. These cuts often feature larger facets, softer brilliance, and a more romantic old world appearance compared to modern brilliant cuts.

The lead time for a custom cut moissanite is around 2-3 weeks.

What is the difference between vintage cut moissanite and modern moissanite cuts?

Vintage cut moissanite typically features larger facets, softer sparkle, and more visible faceting patterns inspired by antique diamond cuts, while modern moissanite cuts are designed for maximum brilliance and precision sparkle. Many people prefer vintage cuts for their romantic and distinctive appearance.

What is Old Mine Cut moissanite?

Old Mine Cut moissanite is inspired by antique cushion-like diamond cuts from the 18th and 19th centuries. These stones are known for their softly squared shape, high crown, small table, and charming hand-cut appearance.

What is Old European Cut moissanite?

Old European Cut moissanite is inspired by early round brilliant diamond cuts popular before modern precision cutting. These stones feature a round shape, larger facets, smaller table, and a soft candlelight-style brilliance admired in vintage jewellery.

Is vintage cut moissanite suitable for engagement rings?

Yes. Vintage cut moissanite is highly durable and suitable for engagement rings and everyday wear. Many couples choose antique-inspired moissanite cuts because they offer a timeless, romantic, and unique alternative to standard modern engagement ring stones.
